In the Autumn term, Laura Jeskins, Charlotte Jones and Hollie Cheatle (all dancers at The Woodlands) formed the dance committee at Camp Hill Girls School with the unenviable task of producing their annual Evening of Dance show.
In memory of Mrs. Stocker, the girls decided that all proceeds from the school would go to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation charity. They even arranged for the charity to deliver an assembly to the whole school. The girls worked incredibly hard, using every lunchtime and after school to choreograph and rehearse dances, organise music, costumes, tickets etc. Friends and family rallied round to help too!
The effort was all worthwhile when the show was a fantastic success! An enthusiastic audience were treated to a themed program, showcasing a high level of dance performance across a wide variety of styles, and involving girls (and a few boys) from year 7 through to year 13. The evening raised an amazing £1,057.31 Well done girls! You are a credit to the dance school!
