This year we said goodbye to three valuable members of The Woodlands Team: Miss Chelsea, Chloe and Alex. As sad as we are to see them leaving us we wish them all luck in the world with the next chapters in their lives.
Chloe has been at Woodlands for a number of years, working FOH on Saturdays as well attending regular classes in both Street and Tap. She also received this year's Lesley Stocker Award for Performance! A superstar in the making! She will be moving to Leeds in September to study for her degree. Congratulations and good luck Chloe!
We also said farewell to Alex who most of you will recognise as "the car park man". In fact Alex was much more than this. Alex worked with both Mr & Mrs Stocker to assist in numerous backstage activities both in and out of house. He regularly worked on set changes, within the props department, as well as working the stage lights in our very own Studio Theatre. A man of many talents! Good luck to Alex who begins work for his Masters Degree in September!
And last but by no means least we unfortunately had to say good bye to Miss Chelsea who has been an important member of the team for many years. Chelsea began at the school as a young child but later returned as a teenager. She worked as a student teacher in Gymnastics, Theatre Craft and Street before working FOH under the supervision of Mrs Stocker. It was during this time that the two became very close; a relationship that carried on right until Mrs Stocker passed away in the August of 2013. Chelsea remains the only person to know the secret to Mrs Stocker's famous muffins! She begins her PGCE this September after receiving a First Class Degree in Theology from the University of Birmingham, after which she will be a qualified Religious Studies teacher. Good luck Chelsea! We are very proud of you and know that Lesley would be too!
